Harold and Jarquetta’s wedding at the Bourbon Vieux in New Orleans was our last wedding of the year and it was a blast! Harold and Jarquetta met while in college at Northern Illinois University in the early 2000’s. However, the pair didn’t begin dating until 10+ years later. After, being reunited by a mutual friend, the two hit it off instantly and they have been inseparable ever since.

The couple initially wanted to have a destination wedding in Mexico but decided to move their destination to  New Orleans. Over sixty of their family and friends traveled from Chicago to witness their union and to celebrate with a traditional second line parade through the streets of the French Quarter.

Our day started at the Q and C Hotel where the wedding party got dressed, which was minutes away from the venue. Everything from the prewedding preparations to the closing out of the reception was perfect. It’s always beautiful to witness an emotional ceremony such as this one. Harold and Jarquetta’s union was definitely a New Orleans wedding to remember.
