What an amazing way to close out the year! We were thrilled to be a part of Kiara and Rani’s engagement/surprise proposal in New Orleans. The planning began about 2 months ago with Rani and I. The plan of attack was to fool Kiara into believing they would be spending a weekend getaway in New Orleans to celebrate their anniversary and have some pictures taken. Little did Kiara know, this would be a weekend that she would never forget. We began the shoot with a stroll through Louis Armstrong Park, followed by a stop at Jackson Brewery. Since this is an area where tourists frequent, the crowd gathered to watch a local brass band perform as Rani and Kiara decided to join in to have a little fun. They danced as if no one was watching, but onlookers were entertained by their performance and applauded after the band finished playing.  Our French Quarter tour wrapped up at the River Walk where Rani surprised Kiara with the proposal. To end the engagement/proposal shoot, we returned to the Roosevelt Hotel where they were staying, to capture some shots of the newly engaged couple while the excitement was still high. It was a joy to share this memorable moment with these two. I was relieved Rani’s hard work and planning paid off with much success. Here are a few of our favorites, ENJOY!!
