One of the best things about being a wedding photographer is that you get to witness some of the best moments in people lives. We had a great time photographing Kiara & Rani’s wedding at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center. So many great things to say about this amazing couple and their wedding; but, I’ll keep it short and sweet. This beautiful journey started with a surprise proposal at the Riverwalk in New Orleans, La over a year ago.  After spending almost an entire day with them for the proposal, I knew the wedding wouldn’t be anything short of amazing! Rani wanted the absolute best for Kiara and he made sure of that on their wedding day and leading up to it. This wedding had it all. Emotions, lighting, surprises and one of the most rocking receptions I’ve witnessed. Along their journey Kiara was diagnosed with cancer. This was very heartbreaking news for everyone but with months of treatment Kiara successfully beat the cancer and is now cancer free! They say that you really get a chance to see a person’s true character when tragedy hits. Words can’t explain i how much i admire these two. Okay, now back the wedding. Everything took place at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center which made our 12 hour plus long day much easier lol! I can still can remember vivid details about this wedding from the fun everyone had  getting dressed to Rani and Kiara’s first reaction to their decorated reception. Audi Brown by Occasions by Audi was the master mind behind all the planning and decorating. She and her staff was one of the best coordinators I’ve worked with. My team and I had the best time and this will be a wedding day we will forever remember. Enjoy some of our favorites!!
